Primary Purpose


To provide accurate geospatial data/mapping administrative services and skills in the creation, maintenance, and development of the Geographic Information System (GIS). Assist in the control and maintenance of the geospatial data. Generate and maintain files for contracts, permits, easements, legal documents, maps and other records and agreements.  

Essential Job Functions (Reason position exists is to perform these functions)

1.      Update GIS system from CCEC Work Orders, Service Orders, and other internal and external data sources as provided, to ensure electric connectivity and to facilitate the creation of engineering models, staking data and Outage Management System (OMS) exports and Engineering Analysis (EA) modules.

2.      Facilitate integration with other company systems/databases such as UPN, FieldPro, Catalyst, Survey123, etc.

3.      Working with the Engineering team to: 

          a.      Prepare easements, and line construction contracts (LCCs) for recording. Prepare other forms, and reports as requested. 

          b.      Maintain cohesive easement and Right-of-Way (ROW) digital and hardcopy files and data. Perform easement research as requested.

          c.       Assist in preparing and submitting ODOT, BLM, and other government entity permits and maintain files for the same.

          d.      Maintain accurate Oregon Public Utility Commission Allocated Service Territory mapping layer. Maintain and incorporate modifications into CCEC’s GIS system.

4.      Maintain and update department files to ensure timely access to information when requested by Coos Curry Electric Cooperative (CCEC) personnel. 

5.      Conduct queries and research of the GIS data and generate/prepare maps, forms, reports, when requested or needed to acquire specific data needed for exports, reports, etc.

6.      Ensure the GIS provides excellent records to all CCEC’s employees, subsidiaries, contractors/vendors as needed.

7.      Provide communication and documentation on GIS project statuses.

8.      Provide timely, and accurate records research, mapping, and office services to all CCEC’s employees, subsidiaries, contractors/vendors as needed.

9.      Provide courteous and professional staff support, including training and information on GIS processes, data, easements, and ROWs, as needed.

Work Environment


This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

Physical Demands


This is a sedentary role; however, some filing is required, which would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work


This is a full-time position, and typical work hours are Monday through Thursday 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Coos-Curry Electric Cooperative operates on a four/ten work schedule.

Travel


Ability to travel to the different area offices as required. Occasional travel to training seminars and/or conferences.

Qualifications


1.      Strong MS Office Suite skills

2.      High School diploma or equivalent required

3.      Valid Oregon driver’s license and insurability.

4.      Reliable transportation for getting to work.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications


1.      One year of related professional experience preferred.

2.      Rural electric cooperative experience preferred.

3.      Associates degree in Geographic/GIS Computer systems preferred.

4.      Knowledge of Esri software, and AutoCAD strongly preferred.

5.      Must meet the requirements of pre-employment drug screening and comply with company drug and alcohol policy while employed.
