Primary Purpose
The Operations Administrator provides administrative support to the Operations Department, which includes conducting research, preparing reports, handling information requests, preparing correspondence, scheduling, planning and developing safety-related programs, and maintaining safety records and reports necessary to support regulatory compliance.

Safety Leadership & Program Administration
1. Plans, develops, and conducts safety, health, accident, and loss prevention programs, for all personnel. Oversees and provides administrative support to the Safety Committee.
2. Schedules facility inspections and meetings to identify occupational health/risk and safety hazards and maintain supporting records.
3. Reviews Safety Manuals, Emergency Response Plans, Mayday procedures, Standard Operating Procedures and other safety plans to ensure they remain current and compliant with applicable laws. Ensures plans are updated, disseminated, and employees are educated on their contents.
4. Coordinates all Electric Safety Programs for the general public, first responders and schools.
5. Develops and administers industrial hygiene programs, hearing-loss prevention programs, and maintains relationships with the medical and industrial hygiene community to stay abreast on industry practices and problem resolution.
6. Maintains all safety supplies in offices and warehouses, inspecting yearly for placement and replacing out of date or used supplies; not limited to vehicle inspections, first aid and survival supplies, fire extinguishers, safety lighting, FR clothing gear, climbing equipment, and PPE.
Safety Reporting & Regulatory Compliance
7. Maintains near miss, damage and accident investigation written reporting and present results to the Safety Committee.
8. Prepares and maintains reports and records for statistical measurements, management reports and the monthly status report for the board; ensuring that reporting conforms to state and federal requirements and safety industry standards.
9. Prepares OSHA 300 form in collaboration with Human Resources and maintains all other safety records required by regulatory agencies.
10. Ensures vehicles are equipped with insurance cards, accident forms, licensing requirements and reporting documentation.
11. Assists with development and administration of disaster and contingency plans
12. Processes federated liability damage claims; insured and non-insured. Reviews annual policy and premiums.
Training & Employee Development
13. Coordinates training programs, as directed by Operations Manager. Assists with implementing strategies for preventing and mitigating losses.
14. Coordinates and administers Apprentice/Journeyman Lineman Program ensuring compliance with JATC, Bureau of Labor and Industries and other agencies. Reviews monthly logs and requirements per step. Maintains records of Apprentice Lineman training and advancement
15. Professional Development by participation in conferences, training seminars, etc.
Operations Administration
16. Processes Highway taxes quarterly and annually, ensuring deadlines are met.
17. Administers CCEC RESAP program.
18. Assist in keeping records pertaining to CCEC Fleet and fleet compliance.
19. Maintains communications with counterparts in other companies, attend meetings, participate in activities. Keep in close working relationship with other utilities, state and federal regulatory agencies.
Administrative Support
20. Provides professional and confidential administrative support services for Operations Manager and Assistant Operations Manager.
21. Provides planning and support to ensure successful operations team meetings.
22. Proofread letters, contracts, correspondence, newsletters, press releases, reports, or any other documents as requested by the Operations Manager.
23. Performs special projects for the Operations Manager to assist him/her in the effective performance of his/her responsibilities.
24. Communicate in a professional, respectful and courteous manner with all employees, the Board of Directors, customers and others with whom we may work. Contribute to a successful work group through positive interactions, active listening, meaningful collaborations, and the constructive exchange of ideas designed to meet or exceed the organization’s strategic goals.
25. Administrative duties as assigned.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
Physical Demands
This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required, which would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds, walk on uneven terrain and drive company vehicles.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and typical work hours are Monday through Thursday 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Coos-Curry Electric Cooperative operates on a four/ten work schedule.
Travel
Ability to travel to the different district offices required. Occasional travel to training seminars and/or conferences.
Qualifications
1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Rural electric cooperative experience preferred.
3. Valid Oregon driver’s license and insurability.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
1. Strong MS Office Suite skills.
2. Reliable transportation to report to work and travel between locations as needed.
3. Must meet the requirements of pre-employment drug screening and comply with company drug and alcohol policy while employed.
